アメリカ合衆国ロサンゼルス生まれ。鹿児島県鹿児島市育ち。
ゴスペルクワイアーで鍛えた本格的な歌唱力、L.A名門アートスクールで学んだダンス・センス。完璧な英語、バイリンガルでラップもこなせるストリート感覚。アンダーグランドからオーバーグラウンドまで支持を得る唯一無二の存在、それがAI。

安室奈美恵やEXILE ATSUSHIなど国内トップアーティストはもとより、クリス・ブラウンやスヌープ・ドッグ、ザ・ジャクソンズ、チャカ・カーンなど国境を越えた数々のレジェンド・アーティストとのコラボレーションも多数。これまで4度のNHK紅白歌合戦出場、第59回日本レコード大賞・優秀作品賞の受賞を果たす。

そして、2020年、次世代リーダーが集まる⻘年版ダボス会議「One Young World Japan」オフィシャルアーティストに就任し、「Not So Different」がテーマソングに決定。SDG’sメッセージソングとして、AIがいま最も伝えたい想いが込められた曲となっている。同曲のRemixには、最重要アーティストのAwichをフィーチャリングに迎え、音楽ファンのみならず話題となっている。
さらに、2021年6月には次世代のHIP HOPシーンを担うアーティスト\ellow Bucksを迎えた新曲「THE MOMENT」をリリース。ストリートからオーバーグラウンドまで多くの支持を獲得しロングヒット中。 8月には、長きに渡る友人でもあり、お互いのワークスと活躍をリスペクトするアーティスト三浦大知と初のコラボレーション作品「IN THE MIDDLE」を発表。
そして、森山直太朗作詞作曲による新曲「アルデバラン」が11月から放送のNHK連続テレビ小説『カムカムエヴリバディ』の主題歌に決定。

2022年2月23日、ニューアルバム「DREAM」をリリースし、5月14日よりAI "DREAM TOUR"（30公演前後の予定）と題した全国TOURがスタートする。

Crossing nations in creating hits and live performances from Asia’s leading HIP HOP crew MJ116 to a recent collaboration with a Japanese top pop icon Daichi Miura exposed in major terrestrial TV broadcasting, AI’ actions expand in wider and deeper range by featuring such promising rapper/deva Awich, to a new hope ¥ellow Bucks making massive remarks on street and digital markets.

With her latest studio album “DREAM” containing above promising tracks along with a lead TV drama theme hit single “Aldebaran”, AI will go one the road for the “DREAM TOUR” from May throughout the year nationwide.
